The global economy has been changed significantly since 1980s. To keep surviving and benefiting, enterprise has to set its mind on Business Process Reengineering (BPR). Model builder should take the appropriate methodology as guide to modeling, because the objects of BPR model building are belong to hierarchical and complex large scale systems. So it not only can benefit develop and execute BPR but also can promote enrich BPR theory in depth.Combining operation process with corporation practice, this thesis analyses the concept, characters and nature of the process, meanwhile deals with some modeling methods of BPR and compares the methods each other, then presents the reason that the methods are imperfect for BPR modeling. The thesis applies General Theory of Modeling to analyze BPR on three levels, and researches the BPR process's characters of layers and stages. On one hand, the structure of enterprise with the core of process is described. On the other hand, the whole routing of BPR with the core of enterprise's structure is analyzed in depth. This will overcome the disadvantage of other current BPR tools. On the enterprise level, the thesis takes the structures of processes and the linkages between processes as the inside state base of enterprise and generates the enterprise's structure. On the BPR level, the thesis takes enterprise structure as the inside state base of BPR and analyses the principle of BPR. At the same time, the thesis studies the BPR's features of layers and stages, and deals with the direct and indirect influence which is brought on by outside and inside factors, other, analyses the directional role for BPR evaluation methods to affect BPR. Furthermore, the thesis studies the occupation problem that is neglected by other current BPR tools. In the end, the thesis makes an expectation to future research.
