Study On Development Strategy Of Harbin City Commetcial Bank Co.Ltd

Harbin City Commercial Bank Co.Ltd(HBCCB) is now a standardized joint stock and profit-making company which is playing an important role on boosting the regional economic development. Its market rising year by year, its corporate administration structure being scientifically and its stimulation-restraint mechanism improving day by day. However, HBCCB was a weak high-risk financial institution only 5years before. At the same time, such deep-rooted and unsolved problems as poor quality of asset, low capital adequacy ratio (CAR), redundant personnel and lack of kernel competitiveness are imposing restriction on its future development. Accompanied by the deepening of Chinese financial structural reforms, outside environments of Chinese banking are altering furiously especially after China's entering into WTO. Competition in domestic banking is being keen day by day. Foreign venture banks are challenging home banks depending on the advantages of capital and administration. In these circumstances, it is time for HBCCB to evaluate the effects on its survival and development caused by changes of outside environments and inside conditions, and to make a proper enterprise strategy of development so as to make a correct judgement and choice for its future.In this article, a development strategy is made for HBCCB on the basis of analysis of outside environments and inside conditions, including guide spirit of strategy, consolidation of operation chains and construction of kernel competitiveness. In the strategy, guide spirit of strategy is to win the will of the people, consolidation of operation chains is the principle of guiding operation arrangement, construction of kernel competitiveness is the base of creating lasting competition advantage. In addition, seven strategic measures are made to ensure the fulfillment of HBCCB's development strategy. Plans of Asset-Replacement and Capital-Raise are made in this article to meet the regulations the People's Bank of china (PBC) on the one hand, which lay a foundation for HBCCB's survival. On the other hand, the plans make it possible to improve the asset quality and CAR,which creates essential conditions for HBCCH's future development.
