The Research On The Characteristic And The Strategy Of The Development Of New Town In Hangzhou

As the regional economy and urbanization developed so quickly at nowadays, problem in cities became worse and worse. The key point of urban planning of many big cities are to solve the population problems in old areas, to create new space for further more development, to make the urban structure better and to improve the integrate competition of that city. Many foreign and domestic cities took the method of building "new town" to create space and devolve industries and population out. More and more "new towns" are set in planning and then built.On the premise of that the administrative region has adjusted and the over-river and along-river urban form has come to being, there are the movement of building new towns starting cosmically in Hangzhou, for example, Xiasha, Bingjiang and Qianjiang etc. The systematization research has been carried out in this paper, which is about the characteristic of the development of new towns in Hangzhou, and about the position and effect in urbanization process. Then, this paper tries to analyze the problems that exist in the development and building of new town. Lastly, some macroscopic introductory stratagems for the development of new town have been put forward in this discourse.This paper includes 4 parts and 6 chapters.The first and second chapter are in the first part, they talk about the background, significance and research structure of this paper, review the procedure of development of new towns. They include theory of new towns and talk more deeply about the concept of "new town". They are direction of this paper, they are the theory platform.The second part is chapter 3, it describes the new town of Hangzhou in several different ways and different visual angle, it also describes the status at now. This chapter researches development model, management model, characters in mutation period, industry and placement characters, basic establishments and environment building of Hangzhou new town. And also analyses problems in development of this new town.The third part is chapter 4; it summarizes the comparability of foreign and domestic new towns on the theory platform of the first part. And researches the building background, the scheduling and the relations of new town-"mother town" of cities in developed countries and Hangzhou, and tries to learn experiences from those cities.The last part brings out the strategy of development of Hangzhou new town on the first three parts as a base and also looks forward to find the direction of further researches.
