Training need analysis is the first step to implement a training project. How to make precise need analysis leading to better efficiency in operating training resources is essential to the training work of a company. The article proposes a thorough research in how to establish the "four-facet analysis model (FFAM)" for GZMC.GZ (Guangdong Mobile Communication Company, LTD. Guangzhou Branch). The article also illustrates the operating process applying the method with a training need analysis case for mid-managers, thus successfully concluding the validity of FFAM method and it also points out the limits of the method.FFAM is the concrete operation in applying the traditional "3-factor analysis". Based on job position family, FFAM leads the training need analysis from tour facets involving competency model, corporation strategy, performance management and individual career planning. By employing various aspects of corporation management information, the method substantially reduces the resources requirement in training need analysis, while introducing a favorable alternative for otherwise more complex analysis tools, thus it's possible to successfully implement "3-factor analysis" in the realistic training need analysis.
