The Study Of The Problems Concerning Countryside Peasants And Agriculture In Jiangxi Of The Republic Of China

In the 1930s , There were serious agriculture problems , which expressed that rural area was very poor, peasants were misery and agriculture was lag behind .It was a historic problem,which had many causes.For example, the high tax payment; gathering of the land ;the expliot of the land rent;the influence of economic crisis Capitalism;the destroy of natural calamity;the wreck of the war and so on . This critical problem led to the decline of rural economy in Jiangxi ,even destroyed the whole economic system . In order to retrieve the situation and consolidate the rule of the Nationalist party, Jiang Jieshi and other rulers had to adopt emergency measures to revive the rural area in Jiangxi. Such as , they carried out rural cooperation movement, built the agriculture institute ,rural service area and rural experiment area of Jiangxi province and so on . The measures played an important role in relieving the peasants , improving the agriculture production conditions and reviving the rural economy to a certain extent .While the effect of this reform was not obvious ,because the transform concerning countryside agriculture and peasants is a complicated and systematic social project. A bit reform was not turn round the whole countryside situation. This shows that the basic method was not reform ,but revolution. The only way is wreck backward social system and economic foundation to realize the revival of rural area really. Meanwhile it also shows that the means of reviving rural by rural reforms is not feasible . The failure of rural revival in Jiangxi of the Republic of China illustrates that the basic way concerning agriculture countryside and peasants is that we must accomplish the urbanization of village ,the residentation of peasant and the industrialization of agriculture .
