Research On The Choice Of Industrial Leading Industry In Yangzhou City

In the past ten years, more and more researches and officials have noticed that gaps of zone economy development are bigger and bigger in the process of globalization knowledgeablization in the world economy. The development problem is focused on changes of industry and its core is determined by the leading industry. The research of zone economy development and the choice of leading industry is an important part of zone economy development study. Firstly, the author introduced the necessity of the study of zone economy development and leading industry, believed that central sign of zone economy harmonious development measurement depends on its competitiveness which depends on leading industry condition, and leading industry is noticeable sign of zone economy ability, actual way of zone economy structure adjustment and tool of enlarging zone resource advantage, thought that the choice of leading industry has important meaning for economy decisions of zone leaders, direct of investment research of zone economy strategy. The author then made up a systematic and comprehensive model for the choice of industrial leading industry on base of analysis, proposed the newly evaluation index systems that included degree of industry products demand revenue elasticity, ratio of industry productivity by comparison, industry products consumption factor, industry labor elasticity factor, ratio of industry market occupy, industry technology level factor, ratio of industry tax etc. also pointed that limitation of this pattern principally included reflecting potentially leading industry unable correctly. So the author takes the analytic hierarchy process to select industrial leading industry. Finally based on the present situation of zone economy development and leading industry, for a case study in Yangzhou City (JiangSu Province) was made to illustrate the model, through retrospective way of locus industry development, location in JiangSu Province and exiting problem, the author pointed that industry of Yangzhou City still belong to elementary stagy of industrialization medium term for the present. In accordance with the principle of leading industry, the author adopts evaluation index systems and the analytic hierarchy process to select the industrial leading industry of Yangzhou City. The electronic information industry, the machine industry, the chemical industry are selected as industrial leading industry for Yangzhou City in the eleventh "Five-years Period". The author proposed some suggestions about development of industrial leading industry in the eleventh "Five-years Period", included enforcing industry itself, market reform, technology reform structure and decision of the leading industry on policy.
