The idea of this paper if coming from the structure of compensation. Then, on the basis of analyzing the main problems of traditional compensation structure, the paper induces the conception of broadbanding compensation.The pattern of broadbanding compensation springs up in America and in universally adopted by many multinational corporations at present. While whether it is suitable for Chinese corporations? This is the main problem that will be studied in this paper.By going deep into discussion of the relative compensation theory and incentive theory, this paper analyzes the characteristic, strongpoint and shortcoming of the structure of the broadbanding compensation entirely. On this basis, it discusses the technique, method and process of the design of broadbanding compensation, as well as the application condition and the problem need to be mostly noticed etc. Finally, there is a case study about the design and application technique of broadbanding compensation pattern, and it confirms the discussion of this paper.The main conclusion of this paper is as following: the pattern of broadbanding compensation is also suitable for the corporations in our country; at the same time, it is one of effective methods which accounting for the traditional compensation problem of Chinese corporations and encouraging the person reasonably. When designing the broadbanding compensation in a corporation, it must embody the corporation' s individual characters, and take the integral stratagem and core value conception of the corporation as its basis. Moreover designing the broadbanding compensation scheme answering for the characteristic of the corporation according to the organization structure and the demand of people under different arrangement. So, only when designing scientifically and with reason, pushing forward under arrangement, can a corporation get the success.
