Research On The Application Of Project Management Maturity Model In Construction Engineering Project Management

The concept of construction engineering project management was introduced into China about 20 years ago. With the long period of practice, important achievements have been achieved both in the theoretical research and in the practical extension while there are still many problems. In this paper, the application of project management maturity model in the domestic construction engineering project management was studied and a feasible method for improving management level and the valuable management reference were also provided.Firstly, the paper briefly introduced the concept of project management, its development and the current project management body of knowledge. Then the paper introduced the development of engineering project management, its principles and its status quo. The development, status quo, existing problems in domestic construction engineering project management were analyzed in detail.As the objective and effective tool for evaluating the hard-quantified quality of enterprise project management, the project management maturity model can help to enhance the capacity and level of enterprise project management and obtain both internal and external trust for the enterprise project management ability.Based on the factors above, the paper aimed at delivering a clear understanding of project management maturity model by introducing its development, usage, basic composition and its structure and also aimed at facilitating the extension and implementation of project management maturity model in domestic construction engineering project management.Finally, the paper reached the feasibility of implementing project management maturity model in domestic construction engineering project management and provided the suggestion to the implementation of project management maturity model.
