With the rapid development of modern logistics in the world, and especially with the logistics theory lagging behind the logistics industry development in our country, there are necessities to do some pertinent study on logistics theories. The logistics demand forecast (LDF) is an essential link of the logistics planning, and logistics assignment forecast (LAF) is an important part of LDF. Putting forward a kind of method and model matching the actuality is theoretically and practically meaningful for logistics development. The main contents of the paper are as follows.(l)Based on the characteristics of logistics demand and its development trends, LDF is defined with its influencing factors analyzed and the general method of LDF summarized. The paper analyzes "four-step" theories and method based on L-OD, making in-depth analysis on the influencing factors of the logistics production, the logistics distribution and the supply chain choice.(2)The paper analyzes the factors influencing logistics route choice, and the equilibrium assignment in logistics network is proposed by the description of the no-equilibrium model. The paper also studies the user equilibrium model and the system optimization model. There are many factors influencing LAF. while the logistics space resistance (LSR) is one of the major influencing factors. The paper establishes the generalized cost model to accurately calculate LSR.(3)Based on analysis characteristics of goods transportation time value, the paper studies the factor influencing time value and puts forward the thought and method to calculate logistics assignment (LA ) time value based on opportunity cost, which is extended to a LA time value model applicable to multi-goods time value analysis and in LA.(4)On the basis of the model of simple good spatial price equilibrium (SPE) model, the paper studies the goods SPE in bi-direction network and extends the simple goods SPE to a SPE applicable to multi-goods in bi-direction network. A mathematic programming model with solution is established.(5)The paper unifies the service cost to time through LA time value, and putsforward a generalized cost model. Based on it, a logistics equilibrium assignment model is proposed with algorithm presented.With these researches, logistics demand and it's forecast, logistics and its equilibrium in time value and spatial price, and LA model is systematically analyzed. A system structure of the LA is primitively established, which can be put into in logistics planning.
