Researching Of Theory And Practice On Estabishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area"

Chengdu-Chongqing area has the strongest economy in the West Region. No other areas in west provinces can compare with it either in economic capacity, population, market capacity, infrastructure, and manufacturing basis or in the level of urbanization, resource and it's exploring condition, industrial structure and so on and so forth. Also, the two cities, Chengdu and Chongqing, have close natural relations in history. So it is a practicable plan to establish "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area" in order to strengthen the cooperation and prompt the development within the area. Establishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area" can avoid the negative influence of district economy, and successfully realize the transformation from district economy to economic zone economy. Forming the economic area can fully use the advantage that the area has dense cities, and plays a leading role of "metropolic economic area". It is a strategic action of comprehensively implementing the guidelines of the Party's Sixteenth National Congress and the Third Plenary Session of its Sixteenth Central Committee, realizing "five balanced aspects", prompting "West Region Development " and the profound development of "the upriver economic region of Yangtze River". Therefore the Study of Estabishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area" is significant in theory and practice.The thesis is divided into five parts. Part one is introduction. It gives a general explanation about the background and significance of choosing the subject, and the geography and space bound of "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area". Part twoexamines the theoretical fundament and strategic significance of establishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area". Part three aims at analyzing the current situation of "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area" and the main obstacles that prevent establishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area".The fourth part discussed the general thread of establishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area". The fifth part contributed to a detailed study of the important zone of establishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area". Basing on the analysis to the difficulties and problems of the establishing process, the author puts forward many useful suggestions on how to deal with the situation.The author tries to bring forth new ideas from the following aspects: the first is to the fifth pole of china's economic growth. Compared with other economic poles, "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area" is relatively weak , but it possesses many comparative advantages , it can have strong economic growth speed .The second is that the author analyzes the main obstacle preventing establishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area" is the inconformity which results from the discontinuity of district zone and economic zone. The third is thought it is a strategic choice from district zone economy to economic zone economy to establishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area" . The fourth aspect is about the analysis to the frame of establishing "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area". The author pays more attention to its principle, objection, strategic measure and focal point. Especially, in focal point of establishing the economic area, "Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Area" can be divided into four parts, and practicable countermeasures are given.
