Research On The Mechanism And Strategies Of Integrated Development Between Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone And The Yangtze Delta Area

With the trend of globalization of the world economy and regional economic integration, economic cooperation and integrated development between regions has become a global phenomenon. In this, urban economic zone has played an important role in accelerating this process.Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone is the core region at the upper reach of the Yangtze River whilst the Yangtze Delta Area has good impetus in development of the Yangtze Economic Zone as a whole. For this, coordinated or/and integrated development between Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone and the Yangtze Delta Area is an important part of "The Yangtze Strategy" and will promote integrated development of the regional economy in China in general and that of the Yangtze Economic Zone in particular.On the background of globalization and integration of the regional economy around the world, through analyzing the current state and problems of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone in "the Grand Development of West China Strategy" and "The Yangtze Strategy" and main difference and similarities between Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone and the Yangtze Delta Area, the paper probes into the mechanism and strategies of integrated development between the above two urban economic zones.The content of this paper contains five parts: (1) review of the theory on integrated development of the regional economy and evaluation of overseas cases; (2) analysis of the background of integrated development between Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone and the Yangtze Delta Area; (3) discussion of the dynamical base in integrated development between Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone and the Yangtze Delta Area; (4) research on the mechanism of integrated development between Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone and the Yangtze Delta Area from angles of industrial transfer, inter-investment and technology transfer; (5) strategies in this regard.
