The report explained ERP definition, introduced process management and supply chain management concept. Tsinghua Unisplendour Co. Ltd. is a large-scale public offering company located in Zongguancun area, it is also well known as a hi-tech company in domestic IT industry. In 2003, the company successfully implemented ERP project within only four months, and ensured its' ten remote branch offices go into production with Beijing headquarter at the same time. The report introduced the company's history background, explained the reasons and motivation why the company made big investment on ERP implementation. The report described detailed ERP implementation steps, summarized the experience and skills the company obtained through ERP implementation, analyzed and explored the approach for an enterprise to implement ERP in a scientific way. As business process re-engineering plays important role in ERP implementation, two typical business processes were identified, one was Channel sales order management process, the another was damaged goods return process. The processes were elaborated and analyzed from process control point and supply chain management points of view. Meanwhile, the report emphasized that the process cannot be streamlined without appropriate business polices. The purpose of the report was to share ERP implementation experience and skills, to provide other companies with scientific methodology and concrete approaches for future ERP implementation.
