The Selection Of Urbanization Path In China Based On The Visual Angle Of Evolution From Dual To Triple Economic Structure

This thesis is aiming to carry out further exploration to the selection of urbanization path in china under the background of evolution from dual to triple economic structure. For that reason, the following aspects will be expounded in details. Firstly, at the basis of analysis of dual structure analyzing framework in research of western traditional urbanization theory, we induce three faults of dividing criteria, assumption prerequisite and logical reasoning of dual structure analyzing framework in traditional urbanization theory. Especially to the Chinese urbanization process, the emergence of rural industry as the triple structure gives challenge to traditional dual structure theory. Therefore, a new theoretical analyzing framework is needed to explain the experience and evidence in China. Secondly, a further analysis of macro economic background of production and development, definition of concept and theoretical and realistic meaning of triple economic structure of Chinese urbanization is implemented. Thirdly, a positive analysis of the selection of Chinese urbanization path under the background of triple economic structure is given in order to examine whether rural enterprise-small town mode is an eternal choice of Chinese urbanization path. Through the time series analysis of related statistical data from 1978-2002 of rural enterprise, we find .its function as absorption machine of rural surplus .labor is decreasing step by step, and embodies on the law of diminishing marginal revenue. So, the popular rural enterprise-small town mode is needed to be reviewed. Finally, an assumption based on regional difference of the selection of Chinese urbanization path is put forward. Middle and west regions should demonstrate the urbanization trends which are rural-city industrialization and rural-city essential factors disposed multiplication, while the east region should march to town urbanization, city functionization and modernization at the basis of rural enterprises-small town mode, and then make the urbanization target of china into reality at last.
