In the fast development of urbanization, more and more farmers lost their lands that their lives depended on. It forms a new social group—'lost-land farmers'. The lost-land farmers are not traditional farmers any more. They are in the process of becoming citizens. And it's not only a change of social status and professions, but also a change of regions and areas. Moreover, it's a conversion of role consciousness, ideology, and behavior. However, the lost-land farmers still remain their peasantry ideology in their thinking and behavior at present, and there is obvious spatial difference between them and citizens. It is of great importance to cultivate the lost-land farmers to posses the citizen viewpoints in order to realize the conversion from farmer to citizen. The so-called citizen viewpoints is a comprehensive expression that ideology, emotion, thinking style, value orientation and behaviors style are mixed in the city-culture. Nevertheless, it's the peasantry psychological conflict, the life style and culture differences between city and rural areas that restrict the lost-land farmers to form their citizen viewpoints. Therefore, the government and the society should choose and create relevant systems to eliminate those factors and cultivate those lost-land farmers in order to make them possess citizen's viewpoints that characteristic in a modern social spiritual disposition and personality through the means of education, etc. and help them to become modem citizens successfully.
