Economic Analysis On The Problem Of Milk Safety In Huhhot

With the improvement of living quality, people ask more about the safety of the food. Recently the incidents of food safeties attach great importance to everyone as they broke out continuously. Milk safety problem can't be ignored because it is one of the industries that grow fast. The environment of Huhhot is suitable for the cow industry with the development of two big milk enterprises, Mengniu and Yili. Milk safety problem should be taken seriously on account of the fact that it affects the development of the two enterprises and milk industry in Hhuhhot as well. Through the investigation of 100 farmers and 30 milk stations, this thesis explains the true condition of farmers' milk production process and milk stations' milk collection process, and finds out the food safety problem of raw milk is resulted from two aspects. One is associated with farmers such as cowsheds and its affiliated equipments, cow feeds, cow diseases control and cures, preventions procedures; another is associated with the milk stations' problems of such as milking of the cows,milk quality testing. This paper discovers the following elements cause these problems: the qualities of cow breeders, management consciousnesses of the station owners, the operation cost of the stations, competitions between the stations and farmers. Based on the investigation of the existing problems, the thesis makes conclusions and recommendations following game theory,information economics theory and statistics.
