The Research On Legal Issues Of Ship Corporate Environmental Responsibility

Under the increasing attention toward environmental protection form current international community, Chinese shipbuilding industry has increased substantially and become one of the most important makers in the world. China now holds 17% of the total orders around the world. At the meantime, a large number of ship owners have increased its orders to enhance the transport capacity. Although the china's shipbuilding enterprises have not suggest a serious attention over environmental responsibility, considering the maintenance of ship-based enterprise development and national environmental benefits, the development of maritime economy and environment protection of the marine and river, it is necessary to start the research for corporate environmental responsibility. It is challenging to strengthen the legal and other aspects of the application of investigation and research, based on the exploration over the suitability of conditions in China which required by the development of corporate environmental mechanism under environmental law.This article is divided into four parts which discusses around the ship enterprise environmental responsibility excluding the introduction and conclusion. Corporate environmental responsibilities from the ship should progress with the basic issues involved in research ship business, corporate social responsibility, the general theory of corporate environmental responsibility, and comparison between the differences of the ship enterprise environment with the general environmental responsibility, with further analysis over corporate environmental responsibility in the shipbuilding industry. Considering the realistic facts in China, the essay discussed the environmental responsibility of shipbuilding enterprises on specific issues which based on the responsibility for the enterprise environment that the industry has considerable practical significance and the necessary to reveal the importance of the business pollution problems and the consequences. With studies of international issues related to corporate environmental responsibility in the ship research according to relevant legal system from the practices of leading countries, reviewing international issues of corporate environmental responsibility to sum up the characters and the business environment in building international shipping liability management model in china, which also identify existing problems and provide technical support for legal changes.In the end, the essay gives the structure of corporate environmental responsibility system based on the industry facts of china's shipbuilding, combined with Economic Perspective on current issues on which point should legal research concepts and basic principles to be followed and relevant legislative proposals being made.
