Children left behind in rural areas is either one or both their parents migrant workers, business or other activities and long-term by the elders, the care of relatives or on behalf of minors under the age of 17. They generally with their father or mother of one, or with the previous generation family, even parents and other relatives and friends living together. With the acceleration of urbanization process in China, a large number of rural youth to urban workers, but because of urban and rural household registration system, its economic, housing and other reasons, the children with their parents not to go to a city life, resulting in some rural areas , there are a lot of children left behind. China Women's Federation February 27, 2008 "issued by the National Research Report Rural Children" that rural children left behind is now about 5800 people, to the rural village of normal management, school management all add to the trouble.Due to social factors, family factors and school factors, rural children left behind there have been various problems mainly in psychology, behavior, safety, learning and other aspects of life. These problems not only affect the healthy growth of rural children left behind, from a macro point of view, the development of the community also has a great impact. Therefore, research on children left behind have a profound significance. To solve this problem, developed a series of social and community protection measures in the interests of rural children left behind, and achieved some results.In this paper, literature review, questionnaire survey as the main research method, divided into five parts to start on. The first part of the introduction. Topics proposed purpose, significance of the topic, the research background, present status, research ideas and methods. The second part of the proposed left-behind children in rural areas the main problems. From psychological problems, conduct problems, security problems, learning problems and life issues in five areas were discussed. The third part of the problem of rural children left behind to explore the causes. Including social factors, government, family and school factors, and each of these factors in more detail the division. The fourth part of the case study of rural children left behind. Prepared by the author, "Rural Children questionnaire" as a tool, field survey the basic situation of rural children left behind and psychological, safety, learning, and life problems and the reasons were analyzed. The fifth part, as a conclusion of several parts, from the family, schools, government and society made the four levels of rural children left behind countermeasures and suggestions.
