Currently our country is in the important opportunity period of rapid economic and social development, and also in the period of social transformation, which faces the diversity of interest demands and multiple social conflicts. At this special stage, with the speeding up of urbanization, the trend of rural surplus labor migrating to urban area is increasingly obvious. Because of some factors such as the limitation of household registration system, in the process of rural labor flowing to city, there are tens of millions of rural left-behind children. For the long-term separation with parents, the lack of parental care and education, the lack of appropriate guardian’s concern and care, the relatively poor living environment, and also an important period with a sharp change in psychological and physiological, there are a lot of problems in those children’s moral cognition, emotion, will and behavior. These problems have seriously affected the growth of left-behind children, affected social harmony and stability, so we should pay great attention to it. Solving the problems of rural left-behind children in moral quality, to help they grow healthily, is an important theoretical and practical issue in juvenile moral education now.This article has carried on the preliminary discussion on this subject. Despite the introduction, the paper is generally divided into three parts. The first part discusses the importance of rural left-behind children moral education. Strengthening the moral education of rural left-behind children can help to the healthy growth of rural left-behind children, help to the new rural construction help to the building of a harmonious society and help to the construction of well-off society. The second part analysis the problems and reasons of rural left-behind children in moral quality. The problems include the fuzzy moral cognition, the indifferent moral emotion, the weak moral will, and the anomie of moral behavior. The reasons leading to the problems include:the imperfect family structure and weak education, the lack of moral education in school for left-behind children, Urban-rural dualism, imperfect social morality mechanism for left-behind children and the negative influence of social environment. The third part, put forward the measures to solve the problem, including strengthening the rural family morality construction; creating a good family environment; playing a role of main channel of school education; strengthening left-behind children’s moral education; accelerating the reform of economic and social process, to create a institutional environment for healthy growth of left-behind children; integrating social forces to build a all-round moral pattern for left-behind children and optimizing the social environment to create a suitable atmosphere for rural left-behind children’s growth.
