The 21st century is an era of population aging as well as an era when population aging becomes a major social issue confronting the international community. In this historical period, China has rushed into such an era. Based on China's situation, it is a task at hand and an orientation for accelerating the social development to positively build a social support system for the urban population so as to gradually cultivate an interactive mode between the home endowment and community support for the elderly. To build for the elderly a social support system incorporating the efforts from the government, the community, family and the market, or to put it another way, to further improve the community service for the elderly and to give full play to the role played by various institutions under the condition of market economy, together with the policy support from the government, family support at the core as well as the concept of home endowment on the strength of science and technology, China's home care system should thus be built faster and better. This paper is divided into six chapters to discuss China's social support for urban home endowment system. The first chapter is an introduction expounds the background and significance of this paper, and reviews the research status of domestic and foreign scholars, and foreign scholars, and the research methods. The second chapter illustrates the status quo of home endowment, its existing problems and possible choices in the context of urban population aging. Firstly, the author introduced the status quo of China's population aging. Secondly, under such conditions, there are some problems on the basic situation of China's population old aging.Firstly, tremendous pressure has been brought to China's social development because of the aging of the population and one thing to note is the speed of which far outpaces that of any other country in the world. Secondly, population aging has shown increasing differences across regions, leading to the mushroom of empty nesters. Thirdly, the economic quandary brought to China's social development by population aging. Fourthly, the aging of population has challenged the traditional mode of family caring for the aged, posing a threat to the construction and development of a harmonious society. Hence, how to improve the lives of the elderly who has labored and toiled a lifetime is a question that has a bearing on the happiness of the elderly themselves as well as the harmony and stability of the society as a whole. Lastly, against the social background of urban population aging and taking into consideration China's specific situation, home endowment for the aged will probably become the best, or put it another way, the most suitable mode or choice for the care of the elderly urban population so as for China to keep abreast with the times and cater to the needs of the general public. Apart from the capability to solve various problems brought about by population aging, this home endowment for the elderly can also alleviate the many clashes and conflicts facing the government, the society and families in the aspect of home caring for the elderly.Chapter three deals with the common theoretical analysis of the social support for China's urban home care for the elderly. This chapter, firstly, drew a line of demarcation between socialized home caring for the elderly and the social support for home caring for the elderly on the theoretical level. Then, this chapter tried to analyze respectively the difficulties met and the necessity of the social support for urban home care for the elderly from the four aspects of the government, community, family as well as the market, the four of which have been discussed finally as to their relations and their connotations. Therefore, in the overwhelming context of population aging and on the general theoretical level, a hypothesis have been made based on the support from the government, the community, family and the market, the four-dimensional one combined to build and develop China's home endowment system for the elderly. This hypothesis is an innovation in theory and a great leap forward as well as an exploration further. This innovation and exploration, when based upon mutual support and promotion four-dimensional aspects, can truly give full play to its best use, which in return will better facilitate China's old age care undertakings four-dimensionally in a socialist harmonious society.Chapter four analyzed the practical analysis of China's social support for the urban home endowment system. Therefore, alterations and changes have been made by various countries in the aspect of old age pension system, policy and mode. Through an analysis and study of the status quo of old age care in such typical aging countries as USA and Japan, some revelations and inspirations are drawn to better build the social support system for China's urban for the elderly.Chapter six focuses on building China's social support system for the urban home care for the elderly in a four dimensional aspect.
