On account of facilitating the construction of socialist administrative ethics, it is more practical and in accord with national situations to conduct a profound illustration of Chinese traditional administrative ethics while absorbing related academic harvest and practical experience of foreign countries. Splendid and brilliant, the historical and cultural civilization created by the Chinese Nation abounds with traditional administrative ethical concepts. Adopting a way of comparative studies on various schools of ethical concepts screened out is a shortcut to penetrate these ethical concepts.Preconditioned by sticking to the guiding ideology underlying the current construction of administrative ethics and development of ethical ideology, the present study illustrates and compares two schools of Chinese traditional administrative ethics, Confucian and Mohist administrative ethics. It is aimed to utilize the traditionally existed concepts to serve current administrative ethical construction, with the methodology of combining the dialectical materialism and the historical materialism.This thesis includes five parts, and the main contents are described briefly as follows.Part one serves as the general introduction to the study including the motivation, purpose, methodology, collating and stipulating the related notions, and illustration of its theoretical and practical values.Part two, starting with the social background, systemically analyzes and interprets the class bases and ideological origins of Confucian ethics and Mohist ethics.Part three states and analyzes the viewpoints, ideological norm system and ideological characteristics of both Confucian administrative ethics and Mohist administrative ethics.Part four conducts a comparative study on the historical values of Confucian administrative ethics and Mohist administrative ethics from both positive and negative aspectsThe last part draws inspiration from the comparative study on Confucian administrative ethics and Mohist administrative ethics.
