The Research On Urbanization In Process Of Industrialization In Typical Region In The West Of China

In tenth five-year plan for national economic and social development in China, promoting urbanization becomes a key point and focus, and the correlation between industrialization and urbanization arouses people's attention once again. Many developing countries are different from developed countries in that the relationship between them becomes weaker, urbanization lags behind industrialization in most places, and industrialization gives a little impetus to urbanization. Because of the difference of industrialization and urbanization in the west, the East, and the Middle of China, the research into regional characteristics and differences and to find out a suit mode for a specific region is very important in the relevant study. By the advantage of resource, energy, workforce, the West can make full use of industry shift and resource relocation to recieve labor-intensive industry from the East and strengthen the pulling force of industrialization to urbanization. But the low level of industrialization and urbanization causes a great deal of unfavorable factors existing in the West. Under background of Developing the West Policy, research into the linkage between industrialization and urbanization seems particularly important in the West.Taking Jiajiang County, the Porcelain Town in the West of China, as an example, the author collects statistical data, survey materials and other relevant information, and carries on research employing systematic analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis, theoretical and practical study. In advance, on-the-spot survey is used to investigate local conditions. While studying, the author researches into industrialization and urbanization separately, and then combines discussion to see into the interaction of them. Finally regression method and dual factors prediction method are employed to establish the model of urbanization forced by industrialization.The dissertation is composed of four parts. In chapter one, the author gives a summary of the basic meaning, stage divistion, interaction between industrialization and urbanization, introduces and evaluates the most important theories and modes both at home and abroad. Chapter three and four analyze the process of industrialization and urbanization in Jiajiang County, mainly including the current situation, level, driving forces and restrictions. Chapter five explores the dynamic interaction and proposes the countermeasures in order to coordinate the development of industrialization and urbanization.
