The modern history of the human society is closely related with human'srecognition and utilization to the history of the petroleum. In modern times, theexploitation and utilization of the petroleum resources not only influence thedevelopment of the human civilization and the social economy, but also have amore and more tremendous impact on the world's economy. The chief purposeof this thesis lies in that the analysis of the different countries'petroleumstrategies and its competitive situation, based on the historical and theoreticalanalysis of the relations between petroleum and the world's economy, will helpChina make the right petroleum strategy and thus ensure China's energysecurity. This article adopts the method of quantitative distinction combining withthe qualitative distinction, sticks on the basic stand of historical materialism, andmakes a thorough research on the relations between petroleum and the increaseof the world's economy and China's petroleum security strategy by breakingthrough the traditional petroleum security theoretical framework.Starting from the economic analysis of petroleum, this article expounds andproves the petroleum's decisive role to the social economy. This decisive rolegives rise to the interactive relationship between petroleum and the world'seconomy. Because of the petroleum's tremendous impact on the world'seconomy, different countries and international organizations have made differentpetroleum strategies. The competition among the different petroleum strategiesintrigues the political changes and development of the world's petroleumproducing areas. After being clear about the overall situation and pattern of theworld's petroleum, China should make her own petroleum strategy to ensure thepetroleum security in the 21st century. Thus the article is intertwined with theclimatic structure. All the chapters are mutually independent and closely relatedas well and thus form a organic whole. This article comprises of introduction, body article, references and abstract. In the introduction part, it is expounded that choosing petrol's impact onthe world economy as the subject of this article is due to petrol's significant rolein the world economical development and national securities. With the persistentand rapid development of the economy, the demand-and-supply imbalance ofpetrol has contributed as a bottle-neck which holds back the accomplishment ofthe economical development goal. To guarantee the petrol security of China in21 century is closely related to our persistent development and socialistmodernization cause. To strengthen our petrol security is the major goal andmethod to stipulate economical development strategy. The petroleum problem, above all, is a problem of economics. Thedecisive role of petroleum to the human society's economy is the premise andbasis on which petroleum relates with and further haves a far-reaching impact onthe world's economy. Therefore our research takes the economic analysis of thepetroleum as the cutting point. The first chapter presents an economic analysis of petrol from three aspects:world petrol reserve, world petrol production and trade situation and theeconomic characteristics of petrol. A review of the history of the world petrolexploitation, the confirmed exploitable petrol increases consistently with theproduction. The worldwide demand of petrol rises increasingly to the extent thateven by 2020, petrol is still the dominant energy in the world. The petrolproduction of OPEC makes up 40% of the world totals, while most westerndeveloped countries are petrol-deficient and are desperately dependent onimports. The concentration of petrol reserve is conducive to monopoly and theimbalanced petrol distribution and consumption area gives rise to thecontradiction between demands and supply. Finally, an analysis of the economiccharacteristics of petrol is made in terms of petrol as an important resourcecommodity and scant non-renewable energy, monopolistic profit-driven petrolinvestment, the indeterminacy of petrol energy, the alternative energy and theprice. The second chapter concerning the relationship between petrol and worldeconomic increase takes an important place in this article. The main contents arethe impact of the petrol crisis on global economy, the present situation andanticipation of the global petrol security and the relationship between petrol andeconomic increase. The petrol demands is linked with economic increase. Thetwentieth century witnessed three worldwide petrol crisises as well as theirinfluence on the world economy. Petrol affects global economy, at the same time, the political crisis and economic crisis also affect the global petrol market.Since petrol became an important energy, the global petrol security has becomea world issue.
