Integrated Research On Railway Team Yard Design In The Modern Logistic System

These days, Logistics in our country develops well. But, There are still many problems. Railway freight yards are important nodes in Logistics system. It's planning and layouts are centered on railway and all the programming are based on the principle of the convenience of the running of railway. This principle cannot but make the construction of railway freight yards to disjoint with the planning of the whole country's logistics: part optimization of railway with centering on railway but not total optimization of the whole logistics system. If we ignore the need of shippers during the planning and construction of railway freight yard, the level of railway freight service will decline, which will result in the decline of railway's market competence. So, in order to ensure the stimulative effect of planning of freight yards on logistics system in the future, we must research the change of market demand and the change of the planning and layouts of railway freight yards induced by the former change under the circumstance of modern logistics.This paper analyzes the function of railway freight yards in modern logistics system. The author brings forward the function orientation of railway freight yards according to modern logistics' demands to railway freight by analyzing the connection between railway and city logistics: railway freight yards should be the joint of railway freight and city logistics. The author also brings forward the principles we should followed when we planning the freight yards under the circumstance of modern logistics.According to the function orientation of railway freight yards, this paper analyzes the workflow of existent freight yards. The paper brings forward the new workflow through improving the waybill management information system and cargo checking system. The new workflow can serve shippers better and advance the work efficiency of freight yard.
