The Minimum Wage System is regulated by the government to enforce the employers to pay the minimum labor remuneration. By learning the experience of the international conventional practice, China has been implementing the Minimum Wage System since 1993. The Minimum Wage System plays a key role in regulating the payment of the employers, and in protecting the interests of the employees. However, at present,the prominent problems existing in the Minimum Wage System of China has hindered its normal function.In light of the practical execution of the Minimum Wage System, this thesis brings up the existing major problems—on the basis of the practical case of Zhejiang Province—which involve the prevailing minimum wage standards on a low side, the unavailability of the system for the overall employees,the inconsistency in concurring of the adjustments exerted in the contents and standards of the minimum wage, the effectiveness of the system impeded by the execution atmosphere,the unenforcability of the administration of the system. Then the thesis applies game theory into the in-depth analysis of the source of the prolems. Finally,the thesis combines the theories of social security and labour economy with the international success, and proposes the substantial political suggestions of perfecting the Minimum Wage System— mainly including,the improvement in the calculation of the minimum wage standard, the consistency in the concurring of the adjustments of the system's contents and standards,the enhancement of the administration of the Minimum Wage System, as well as the strenthening of the effectiveness of the system, by promoting the following two pro-active measures: the Collective Negotication on the Income System, and the calcualtion of the minimum piecework price by means of combining the labor quota and negotication.
