Research On Urban Sustainable Development Appraisement Based On Chengdu

The city is a result of social productivity's development, and a sign of the human civilization. Sustainable development theory has become focus and front subject of every discipline since born. With the quickening of urbanization paces, urban sustainable development becomes an important research direction. Entering 21st century, the speed of urbanization of our country is obviously accelerated, city development faces unprecedented challenge. As key city of development of western regions, Chengdu must insist on the road of sustainable development. So the comprehensive appraisal on the sustainable development ability in Chengdu has important realistic meanings.On base of summarization on urban sustainable development comprehensive appraisal study at home and abroad, combining the actual conditions of Chengdu, the thesis has set up the sustainable development comprehensive evaluation index system and appraisement model, has appraised comprehensively sustainable state of Chengdu's development of 1995-2004 year. At the same time propose some policy recommendations to the sustainable development of Chengdu. The main content includes:1 , It combines the actual conditions of Chengdu and designs the sustainable development comprehensive evaluation index system. This index system divides into goal layer, judge layer and index layer, first layer includes environment support index, economic development index , social progress index , second has 17, 3rd has 42 indexes.2, Get Ec ,En & Sc value. After collecting Chengdu's initial data of 1995-2004 years, through the normative function I figure every index value into one between 0 and 1. Adopt AHP to calculate weight of every index, then utilize the weighting method to try to get Ec ,En and Sc value of Chengdu in 1995-2004 year.
