Under the condition of market economy, the consumption market need is the condition that the value created by whole economic activities obtained social acknowledgement. Consumption demand affects the property and quantities of the production, therefore, as the last demand, consumption structure is the most important limited factor to industrial structure, and the adjustment of industrial structure must meet the request of the consumption structure variety.Jiangsu is the economic province of the whole country, and now is just be placed in the adjustment period of industrial structure. In the overall construction progress of middle-class family, according to the regular variety of consumption to make industrial structure adjust and upgrade, then the fast growth of the economy can keep on. So this paper hopes to put forward some conclusions and suggestion through the evidence analysis of the present condition and the trend of the Jiangsu province residents consumption structure as well as the influence of the consumption structure affecting the industrial structure. This can do the reference the function, when our province established the related industry policy. And it can make the consumption structure and industrial structures realize coordination and become the valid motive of Jiangsu economic development.According to the theories that the consumption structure decided the adjustment of industrial structure, from the history progress angle to analyze the influence that the change of consumption structure of Jiangsuprovince residents to the adjustment of industrial structure.Then through statistic index sign and the extend linear expenditure system( ELES), the present of the consumption structure is analyzed. On the basis of this, we use (ELES) to estimate the variety trend of the consumption structure in the following years, and we also do the same thing through establishing the time sequence model system the according to theory that the income decides consumption. And according to the input-output form about Jiangsu province, we adopt influence coefficient, respond coefficient, induct coefficient and depended degree etc. to analysis the quantity influence of the consumption to the industrial structure.The thesis gets some conclusions and put forward some suggestions also. The consumption structure of the residents of Jiangsu province is turning to the "enjoy, developing" type. The weight of the expenditure about the food and clothes consumption would continue to descend. While The weight of the expenditure of medical health care, transportation, amuse, education and living would speed to rise. Then there will be some new hot consumption point, such as automobile, housing, information, travel etc. According to the changing trend and around the consumption hot points, explicit the adjusting direction about industrial structure, and make automobile, housing, information technique industry etc. as to the predominate industries. At the same time, make the traveling and education industry developing well. Through the connection function between industries to arouse the development of a series related industry. At the same time we should speed the agriculture structure adjustment, have consumed goods industry steadily developing, adjust the internal structure of heavy industry, fasten the development of third industry and make consume environment better etc.
