Judged by the economic development condition of all countries over the world, there has obvious distinctions of stages in this field. Both various focal points and leading industries of economic development occurred at the various stages. There are many major problems of transition of industrial structure in different stages. The economic development of China has been entering into a new era of industrial structure transition and also faces those major problems as indicated out in the outline of the Tenth Five-year plan(2001-2005) for China National Economic & social Development (hereinafter referred as Tenth Five-year plan) as "Persisting in and focusing on economic restructuring, China has been entering into a stage of economic development only being promoted by the restructuring,…… It should combine restructuring of industry with that of ownership, region and urban and rural area." Nevermore, the past accommodating restructuring, the industrial restructuring shall turn to strategically one. The writer considered that it should apply the input-output analysis to the study of restructuring as the basis and use the data and models of input-output to calculate and forecast the restructuring orientation in recent and future periods in order to optimize its structure and obtain effective allocation of resources. There are five parts in this thesis as follows:1. IntroductionWhether it is of developed country or of in-developing country, each economic system has a complicated internal structure. Economic operation and its development level depend on the interrelation among the various compositions which are as controlled by the gear mechanism as the clock hands run. In the past decades, the interrelation between different sectors within one single economic system has been decrypted clearly and accurately more and more by input-output analysis method. The remarkable advantage of input-output analysis rests with both the demonstration of the indirect and internal trades within one single economic system and the bringing of them into the scope of treatment of economic theory. There is a relatively fixed correlation between different sectors and also between the input which one sector obstained from other sector and its contribution to gross output of this economic system. It is adaptable either to high developed economy or to undeveloped one.INPUT-OUTPUT ANALYSIS OF INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURE OF CHIAN was assigned as the topic of this thesis. It was just based on the structural theory of industrial economy, classification of 3-rank industry and input-output analysis method from the angle of view of input-output and its ratio to analyse the changes and the existed problems of industrial structure of China in recent decade and to research in the stragetical industrial restructuring orientation in present stage, and however, to provide proposals of policy for the industrial restructuring. The interactive mechanism between economic growth and changes of industrial structure which the writer considered was as follows: Economic growth means the increase of GDP, i, e, increase of national income, which shall bring urban and rural household consumption structure in changes and also result in the changes of structure of demand. In turn, the change of demand structure shall require the change of supply structure correspondently. And supply in kind is namely products produced by each industry, therefore, the corresponding changes of industrial structure occurred. Conforming to the demand structure, the industrial structure changes and its product transform to consumption smoothly. It just increases the gross output value and the national income. Thus it evolves a virtuous cycle in industrial economy system. In belief, change of consumptive structure pushes forward the changes of input and output structures which will bring about new demand and in turn influence the changes of input and output structures. So it cycles in this way. Otherwise, this interactive mechanism also showed that the industrial structure shall hi...
