Review Of Intellectual's Ideological Transforming Movement In Early Years Of New China

The intellectual's ideological transforming problem holds the extremely important status in the Party's intellectual policy history. Having the important historical event of ideological sphere in early years of new China in mind, the author introduces its historical background, elaborates its process, analyzes the reason that it started, and makes every effort to give it the objective rational appraisal. The author thinks this movement occurs at the early years of the new nation in which the time subject of war and revolution was continuing, was the product that social big transformation led to the conflict of new-old thought and culture under specific historical environment, and was carried on under the guidance of intellectual's policy "the Unite, the Education, the Transformation". According to the macroscopic development of the movement,it went through the process from developing step by step to high tide. Judging from the microcosmic operation of the movement, it may be divided into the three parts consisting of the ideological mobilization, the ideological construction, and the ideological summary and clearing organization. The elaboration of Marx and Lenin related intellectual, the dual limits of the Communist Party of China on the intellectual's class attribute question, and the two separated form and two unions thought of Mao Zedong about intellectual had offered the theoretical basis. The need of the party in power establishing the guiding position of Marxism –Leninism in the ideological sphere in order to consolidate new regime, the need of the advanced cultural construction, and the need that the new political, cultural and ecological environment and intellectual heart ubiquitous original sin consciousness make them strengthening oneself study had offered the realistic basis. From various angles "necessity of transformation, fair and reasonable goal of transformation, regarding the way dialectically, and the objective positive effect of this movement", the author gives this movement the affirmation on the whole. From various aspects"movement requesting anxiously and excessively high, the procedure crude, the simplification all at once, mobilizing students to expose and criticize teachers, twisting the relation of teachers and students,some rights and wrongs boundary unclear in the ideological transforming movement, and the existence exuding the tendency of the ideological inclination,and influencing on the judgment of the intellectual's class attribute", the author analyses the negative effect which the movement caused.
