The 21st century, competition among companies has been in the times that victory depends on culture. Meanwhile, we are in the key period of perfecting the socialism market economy system, adjusting the social and economy structure, dealing with the international economy integration. The state-owned companies are faced with new opportunities and challenges to reform and develop. In the new circumstances, it is a question worthy of study how state-owned companies understand corporate culture correctly, get rid of the formalism in the construction of culture, build the new culture meeting corporate strategy on the foundations of company reality.This thesis researches into the design and execution of corporate culture in Nanchong Electric Power Bureau (NEPB), a large-size state-owned company. At the beginning, the thesis dissects the conception of corporate culture, reviews the construction of corporate culture in practice, especially analyze the feature of founding corporate culture in the internal power enterprises and the overseas. Next, we estimate the advantage and disadvantage of the corporate culture in NEPN on the basis of deep investigations and researches. The 3rd, we redesign the corporate culture in spirit, institution and material according to the conclusion. The 4th, we research executing the new culture on aspects of plan, guarantee, organization and effect. Finally, the thesis concludes: the corporate culture in NEPB, affected by the trade background and history factors, provides advantage as well as disadvantage; the redesign of culture should be in light of the corporate strategy, keep and absorb excellent traditions, utilize available factors, alternate out-of-date and unreasonable contents, be foresighted and head for promoting core competition; and executing new culture is a complex and systemic project, which should be coordinated effectively, be carried on purpose, along scheme and reasonably.
