Su'Nan Township Industrial Zone: An Analysis Of The Character Of Structure And Synergy

Twenty years have passed since the implementation of reform and opening up policy in china. In these twenty years China witnessed a tremendous achievement in its industry and society, which increasingly leads China to the focus the whole world. However, an overall look over our country shows that there is still a relatively large gap or distance between our Chinese people and the fairly-well society. Actually this gap or distance is mainly generated by the problem of countryside, agriculture and farmers. This thesis chooses Su'nan township industrial zone as its study object purely out of the sense of social responsibility. In this thesis a new perspective to this problem is offered and a few proposals can also be found in details.Su'nan township industrial zone, as a fresh growth point in Su'nan regional economy, is just receiving more and more attention from the general public. Su'nan township industrial zone's importance and influence will then be treated the same way as Su'nan Mode in the 1980s and property right system reform in the 1990s. The establishment of townshipindustrial zone has fundamentally transformed the decentralization state of town enterprises characterized by "enterprise run by a village and then owned solely by this village" and "fire raised in every village and smoke seen in every household". As a contrast, scale and concentration effect is introduced to promote industrialization and urbanization development in the countryside. The study on Su'nan township industrial zone development and the study result are also of great value to the establishment of other township industrial zones.This thesis begins with the analysis of Su'nan township industrial zone's development history and with that taken as the background further analysis is made in the township industrial zone formation mechanism. Industrial centralization theory is utilized to analyze the formation of township industrial zone and the status and function of township industrial zone is newly reviewed in the perspective of economic and social synergy. In township industrial zones, enterprises according to the advantageous conditions that they possess, adjusted their enterprise structure and product structure and made great effort to develop the tertiary industry, which has tremendously contributed to the economic development and the absorption of rural surplus labor. Industrial centralization in township industrial zones has not only yielded scale economic benefit but also promoted rural-town transmission construction, which is especially of significant value for rural industrialization and urbanization. The realization of rural industrialization,urbanization and the settlement of rural surplus labor will lay a firm social foundation for consecutive and stable economic development. However present economic and social synergy development state also results in a few problems, such as coarse increase pattern and environmental deterioration, and sustainable development is just the way to solve the above problems.
