The Time And Space Analysis Of Sustainable Development Capacity In FuJian Province

The research of regional sustainable development capacity has become active fields in geography subject nowadays because there are not only restriction but also mutually promotion effects between economic growth and resource, environment. Along with the development of economy, the contradiction between men and land intensified further in some area. Evaluating the capacity and realizing the sustainable development of a region has become an important task.Based on the achievement of the evaluation of sustainable development capacity domestic and internationally, combined the present situation of Fujian province, this paper has designed a multi dimension indexes system from four aspects which are economic, society, resources and environment and the sustainable potentiality. Under this index system, this paper studied the evolution process of Fujian's sustainable development capacity using IAHP method with the data from "statistical yearbook of Fujian"(1990~2003). The character of capacity's special difference was also investigated using IAHP and artificial neural network method the data from statistical yearbook of Fujian(2004) based on county. And thematic map was generated using the tool of GIS based on the results of analysis.The research has revealed the law of change character of Fujian province's sustainable development capacity temporally and spatially respectively, can be severed as the reference to make policies of future development of Fujian province.
