| The developing trend of technology and industry in the future is represented by the high-tech which is the competitive commanding point in the field of international economy and technology. Today, a technology-cored change is taking place all over the world. As the more and more international economic competition that China takes part in, the domestic high-tech industry is tracing the high level in the world and making some progress. There is a large proportion domestic traditional industry in Chongqing that is behind some regions as the more furious competition. The feature and regulation of high-tech industry determines that it can improve the development of the traditional industry. So it is especially important to encourage the development of high-tech industry. The key of developing the competitiveness of high-tech industry of Chongqing lies in promoting regional competitiveness of high-tech industry. This study is based on the relative theory, according to its feature, and by means of such methods as Analytic Hierarchy and Factor Analysis to provide a demonstration analysis of the competitiveness of the high-tech industry. The main fruits of the paper are as followed: (1) Building a evaluation index system on the basis of analysis of the theory relative to the industrial competitiveness. (2) Finding the proportion values of every index by means of Analytic Hierarchy Process and test the correspondence of the index system. (3) Analyzing and research the competitiveness of high-tech industry of Chongqing, and making a demonstration analysis of the real-life and potential competitiveness by means of Factor Analysis, and finding Chongqing's place in China. (4) Aiming at the result of the demonstration analysis of the domestic competitiveness of high-tech industry of Chongqing, the study propose some strategies and suggestions to promote the whole regional high-tech industry's competitiveness level.
