Research From Criminal Psychological Perspective: The Formation And Precaution Of College Students' Crime

Crime is the production of comprehensive motivations and factors. External factors of the subjects must work through the internal factors, so we should study the criminal psychology when we study the crime of college students. The formation of the university students'criminal psychology is the result of the reciprocity between the social environment and psychological backgrounds of college students. According to the analysis of college students'criminal psychological features and the formation, this article tries to pose some relative precautionary measures. The whole article is divided into three parts and nine sections. Chapter 1: the psychological features of the college students'crime, including five sections. The author holds that law-breaking college students have some special psychological qualities, which are the subjective factors of law breaking and crime committing. Those negative factors are the results of long time "internalization"of social negative factors, which are internalized ceaselessly and sometimes influenced imperceptibly by the criminal subjects during their lives, thus those factors become innate in criminals'minds and urge them to commit crimes. Apart from the similarities with the common adolescent crimes, college students'crime also has its own characteristics, such as, the confusion of self-consciousness, the intensity of the hedonic desire, contrary unbalance mentality, indifferent mentality, void, mentality of pursuing stimulants, unstable mood, and impulsive psychology and so on. Without cure and guidance, all those psychological problems may lead to the happen of lawbreaking and crime committing. Chapter 2: the psychological formation of college students'crime, including two sections. The commitment of an individual is mainly dominated by his criminal psychology. The formation of the criminal psychology is the result of the individuals'internal factors and external factors. The formation of college students'criminal psychology is also the interaction of internal and external factors. Judging from external factors, some college students take the criminal road due to the interaction of three major factors: the family factor, the school factor or social factor. Family education and family atmosphere strongly influence children's psychology. Improper family education may make them grow up unhealthily. From several family types such as types of doting, undue protection, over-strictness, laissez-faire, the article analyzes the relationship between family education and the formation of college students'criminal psychology. From the analysis, we can discover that children living or growing up in such kind of family are easy to develop such mental qualities as self-will, selfishness, rebelliousness, dependence, eccentricity, self-abasement, indifference and so on. When on campus, those children will have difficulty to communicate with other students. They cannot live under the pressure and they are so jealous that it is quite easy for them to commit crimes. We can hardly say it's not the failure of family education. If the family atmosphere is not good, the quarrelling parents, unbalanced emotions, one-parent family will bring excessive psychological pressure to children, thus leave the seed of committing crimes. School is where adolescents receive education. It has direct relation with the healthily or unhealthily growing up of adolescents, but there are still plenty of unsatisfactory in our education in primary school, middle school and colleges: the examination education in primary and middle school makes students lack the conception of right and wrong, and make them have low moral level. Especially in high education, the ideological and political education is very weak, the administration is loose, physiological and psychological education cannot catch up with the needs of growing up of students, some teachers even are not able to take the teaching responsibility, and series of problems are caused with the system reform of colleges and universities. All those make some students develop unhealthy psychology and lose themselves to take the road of law breaking. The harmful tendencies in the society also impact college students negatively, making them develop individualism and hedonism, which damage the mental and spiritual health of college students greatly, and also make those who are weak in self-control begin to commit crimes. And from the internal factors, the author mail wants to discuss the relationship between college students'criminal phenomenon and their particular psychology under the conditions of social changes and negative effects of market economy. College students generally have the following psychological defects such as the confusion of political belief, the distortion of the value conception, bad characteristic mentality qualities, abnormal mentality, the frustration mentality after superiority is challenged, non-interference mentality of knowing little about right and wrong, the contradictory mentality under social influences, and the ignorance of law. College students with the above mentalities are rather fragile so that crimes may be produce by them once they are influenced or stimulated by external factors.Chapter 3: the psychological rectification and precaution of college students'crime, including two sections. There are many harmful mentalities that may lead to the law breaking. If we do not find and rectify them in time, the serious results may occur. In accordance with the psychological features and the formation of college students'crime, the author suggests that we should work by both the internal measures and the external measures, and try to do the rectification of college students'criminal psychology and precautionary work to prevent the crime. Judging from the external measures, to reduce and prevent college students'crime, we need the concentration and the hardworking of the whole society and we should set up a system of the comprehensive administration of the public security which contains the co-work of the trinity of the society, the family and the school, and punish criminals severely. The proper family education and good family atmosphere is still the prime measure to prevent college students'crime, so parents should pay attention both to the study and the mental health of their children to give good family education and form good family atmosphere. The college also needs to try to manage the ideological and political work to college students, strengthen law education, enhance the law awareness of college students, and meanwhile provide college students better environments which are helpful for their growing. Also, all the whole society should take care of the growing up of college students and try to eliminate negative influences brought by market economy. From the internal measures, college students themselves should also learn self-adjustment, self-dredging to keep away from crimes. That requires college students to establish new pursuing target for themselves, properly face the pressure by stud, living and job seeking, actively transfer attentions, learn self catharsis, avoid spiritual void which generates the idea of committing crimes. Furthermore, learn how to communicate with others, properly deal with the relations among self and others, individuals and collectives to let you grow up happily and healthily in college.
