When Mao Zedong summarized the development history of Communist Party of China, he ever said that, "October Revolution has brought us Marxism-Leninism." It indicated that, Communist Party of China's rationale and the guiding ideology are established on the influence of October Revolution, Specially China's socialist system has been profoundly influenced by former Soviet Union .Therefore ,many aspects in China, such as politics, the economy, the military , the culture and education and etc., have countless ties in the historical development with Russia and many similarities between them;so, it's necessary to conduct the comparison research to China and Russia. Former Soviet Union or Russia is the state that pays much attention to the defense education, from ancient to present, its formidable national defense strength has necessity ties with the characteristic and the fruitful defense education. In this aspect, there are many things which is worth us studying, Therefore, it's the necessity to conduct the comparison research to the China and Russia defense education. This article embarks from this goal, basing on the research to the Russian and China, to the discuss both countries' defense education experience and the lesson, the aims is to help the defense education of nonmilitary units in our country to put forward efficiently and orderly.This article takes the China and Russia nonmilitary unit's defense education as the research object, carries on the discussion on comparative research in four aspects such as China and Russia defense education history, defense education ideology, defense education in school and society defense education. The research technique mainly uses the comparison analytic method. It mainly introduces and studies the experience and the lesson of Russia, and tries to provide constructive suggestions for our country's defense education theory and the practice.
