Air combat has become the main combating pattern of contemporary local war equipped with high techniques. As the judging foundation of air battle, Air Combat Threat Assessment has a beneficial significance on the defeat in air battle. However, the theoretical research on Air Combat Threat Assessment has just begun, and the resolving methodology of it lacks in systemization. This will certainly impact the rationality of decision-making during air battle. In connection with this problem, this thesis attempts to make such efforts and contributions as follows:Firstly, this thesis works out the solving framework of Air Combat Threat Assessment through the analysis of threat assessment, introduction of data estimation and analysis of the main task of threat assessment in the course of decision-making in air battle. This thesis conduct the research from the perspective of systematic potential, static deraigning and dynamic event. It points out that the framework consists of the assessments based on events, competence and situations. In the mean time, it defines these assessments one by one, decomposes the task of the threat assessments of air battle and establishes a simple black board hierarchical model of Air Threat Assessment. It also explains the procedures of the calculating operation of the assessment.Secondly, this thesis concerns the study of competence-based and situation-based threat assessment of air battle. It discusses the essentials of the competence, and sets up the function for the competence-based threat assessment of air battle operated by multi-airplanes; it analyzes the threatening elements of combating situations, obtains the threat functions from the angle, the distance and the speed perspective by reasoning and builds up the function for the situation-based threat assessment of air battle operated by multi-airplanes; it synthesizes these two threat assessments functions and calculates the samples chosen as the two functions.At last, this thesis figures out an event-based method of Air Threat Assessment through the definitions of the events, the modeling accompanied with XML description of the model, the introduction of the functional architecture model of event correlation, the type of event correlation and the expressions of the theory of this technique, the event deleting and contracting on the data facet, the correlation between the events in causality by Bayesian Network and the probability reasoning, exemplifying and calculating of Bayesian Network employed in the construction of threat assessment model of air battle.
