With the initiation of"The Rose Revolution"by Georgia in Nov 2003, a series of other riots named by Western World as"Color Revolutions"were subsequently erupted in various cities of CIS countries, such as the"Orange Revolution"in Ukraine and the"Tulip Revolution"in Kyrgyzstan. Through nonviolent street demonstrations, the whole political spectrum aimed at overthrowing current government and seeking power, which in turn deeply influenced geopolitics in Euro-Asia districts. Therein lies the objective and subjective factors to the happening. By tradition, Russia always sees CIS as the countries within its orbit, thus in order to protect its own security and rise to the challenge from overseas opposing powers, a series of interior and exterior measures were being taken by Putin government to prevent the further dismemberment of CIS countries and to ensure the smooth progress of Russian political strategy.Basing on the geopolitics theory, with the analysis on the competing power control over CIS area between Russia and USA, the main aim of the paper is to explore Russian corresponding policy on this combat, and try to conclude from it the insights to China's domestic and foreign policy.
