Since China's reform and opening up, China's economy maintained a good growth momentum. China's powerful market made China's status in the international arena increased by a strong component. At the same time, China adjusted its foreign policy and adhered to the foreign policy of peace, taking a cooperation attitude, to seek full integration into the world. Thus, to study the changes of China's national power and international responsibility in China's diplomacy becomes the internal logic of demand. As China's international influence growth, the world started to seek China as the "world factory". The "strong China paradigm" is replaced the original "weak China paradigm" to judge China's development trends. However, China's growth has also led to the international community; especially the United States and some neighboring countries continuously produced and advocated "China threat" theory. To the response, China declaration to do in a big and responsible country in the international community, this shows that China has made a solemn commitment to be the constructive participants in international community. Since the 1990s, china began to construct its own identity as a response to the widespread "China threat" theory, the self-identity construction is embodied in the level of ideas, such as t he promotion of "new security concept" and "cultural diversification", and in the level of diplomatic practice, namely toward the big powers, developing countries and the multilateral international regimes. China's participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations is one of the most important multilateral international mechanism practices, which is a big country performance. The peacekeeping operation is a great creation as to the UN functions of maintaining world peace and security. Over half a century, the UN peacekeeping operations have contributed immensely to the conflicts settlement and world peace, and will continue its role into the new century. China, as one of the five permanent members of the Security Council, assumes special responsibilities to international peace and security. For some reasons that are known to all, China is a latecomer in this area. Since 1990 when it first participated in the operations in real sense, China has become more and more involved. This demonstrates the changes that have taken place in China itself and its relations with international systems. As a rising power, China will play more important role in the peacekeeping operations. With a more positive attitude to participate in UN peacekeeping is both realistic and consistent with long-term interests of China's diplomatic strategy. It is not only the responsibility for China, as permanent members of the UN Security Council and regional big powers, but also an important mechanism and effective way for China to in-depth integration into the international security. In international relations theory and practice, we analyses China' construction of its own identity, particularly from China's participation in specific United Nations peacekeeping operations and participation in the multilateral mechanism aspects to study the perspective of this issue, undoubtedly of great theoretical and practical significance.
