Job satisfaction research as an important indicator of organization and management performance, managers and researchers at home and abroad have attracted widespread attention on it, and have done a great deal of study. A late start in China, specifically for police work satisfaction study is seldom reported. On the basis of the scale of the reference in the mature domestic satisfaction, the preparation of a police job satisfaction questionnaire has been worked out through interviews and expert advice. Through the investigation into 248 police of Lanzhou City Public Security Bureau police detachment, at the same time some individuals were conducted in-depth interviews from both theoretical and empirical work with the Police to investigate the factors affecting satisfaction with the work.Through research we can conclude that the factors of affecting traffic police job satisfaction include: the social recognition, the work returns, personal development, the work itself and the working environment, work stress, interpersonal, unit management, leadership style, the overall satisfaction with the degree of ten dimensions. In this foundation, applying the theory of demand level and two-factor theory, this thesis finally provides sugesstions of improving police work satisfaction by reforming and straightening out current public traffic management system, enhanceing the reward of traffic police, creating more promotion opportunities and aspects and improving traffic police working conditions, reasonable allocation of police force , constructing a new type of traffic police culture. Finished in the research, provided references for traffic police's management decision-making and the physical and mental health.
