The job stress and satisfaction are the important factors to influence the member's personal behavior in an organization. The traffic police are the special strength of enforcing the road traffic law. It assumes the comprehensive responsibilities of keeping traffic safe, unblocked and ordered and is one kind of pressure crowded occupations. Their job stress and satisfaction can affect not only individual work behavior and the working efficiency, but also the development situation of the social economy and the government image.This study's main research methods are investigation and data-based analysis. It emphasizes the multidisciplinary fusion, is based on the basic theory on management science, sociology and psychology and absorbs fully the research results of organizational behavior science, human resource management and psychological counseling and treatment. By selecting 137 representative members working in the traffic police department of A city as study example, I collected the data by questionnaire, used the software of SPSS to analyze data, researched the situation of the job stress and satisfaction of different attributes traffic police and the relationship between them.By statistically analyzing 137 effective questionnaires, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) Municipal traffic police's job stress is on the high side, the job satisfaction situation is on the low side somewhat.(2) Municipal traffic police's job stress and satisfaction are different in different attribute, including sex, age, seniority, marriage, work division, rank, record of formal schooling, units etc.(3) Overall, the municipal traffic police's job stress is significantly negative correlated with the job satisfaction, namely the higher the job stress is, the lower the job satisfaction would be.In view of the conclusions above, this paper presented some suggestions about lessening the municipal traffic police's job stress and increasing job satisfaction:First, improve the work environment of the traffic police and make the traffic management scientific and modern.Second, carry out health education activities to lighten the "burden" and "stress" so as to create a relaxing psychological environment for the traffic police.Third, provide enough expenditure and available life support.Fourth, strengthen social support.Fifth, establish scientific and reasonable incentive system.Sixth, establish health security system for the traffic police.
