The traffic police as traffic management,have to ensure road safety and unimpeded.In o ur country,the traffic police,although also enjoy civil servants,but compared with other indus tries,the traffic police's wage level is still low,workloads,work environment is relatively is al so quite special.With the improvement of people's living standard in our country,vehicle use continues to increase,the traffic violations is becoming more and more serious.Combined wit h the deterioration of the fog and rain and snow weather in recent years,the traffic police wor king environment is more severe.Especially in some less developed cities,the traffic police p ay and working conditions more serious life.A variety of reality and unbalanced factors likely to lead to many psychological problems of traffic police.Followed,work efficiency is low,ca using departure,absences are,low job satisfaction,and a series of problems,even appear not a s a behavior.Xi 'an as an important central city of the western region,traffic flow,vehicle utili zation rate is high,the traffic jam phenomenon is relatively serious,thus leading to the traffic police working environment is relatively serious.For a long time,the researches of traffic police team management work mainly focus on the job performance,evaluation rewards,discipline and educational training,etc.but ignoringtheir internal factorsincluding their pressure,discontent,and the degree of job satisfaction.This paper can help the manager to have a better understanding of traffic police'psychological needs and dynamic thought,and further improve the aspects of traffic police management work.Moreover,to increase the communication between police and managers and provide the quantitative data of Xi'an traffic police team for the managers.So based on the more mature experience of the scale of job satisfaction at home and abroad,this paper selected 30 traffic policemen at random as the sample of this study to conduct a semi-structured interview,then picked out the subjects influencing the job satisfaction and gave themout to 280 traffic policemen at different positions and different position ranks to be measured.At last,the 262 copies of effective questionnaires were recycled.This study has found that influencing factors to Xi'an traffic policemen' job satisfaction including social acceptance,work reward,personal growth,work itself,work environment or condition,work pressure,internal relationship,unit management,leadership style,and other dimensions.In addition,it explores the effects of demographic variable to each dimension of job satisfaction.Based on these above,this paper puts forward some suggestions for the Xi'an traffic policemen' job satisfaction: firstly,to improve the traffic police working conditions and the environment and create a fair and just social atmosphere;Secondly,to increase the numberof traffic police at the grass-roots level,strengthen the police security and reduce the traffic police work pressure;Thirdly,to build and improve the social impression and status of the traffic police team as well as the positive traffic police culture atmosphere;Fourthly,to improve the traffic police work benefits and their living standards,and from material level to inspire the enthusiasm of the traffic police work.Fifthly,to create more opportunities for advancement and provide more liberal promotion space for the traffic police;finally,to strengthen the traffic police work and skills training and improve the overall quality of the traffic police team,and play the role of the traffic police to the maximum.
