This paper points out that rural governance of China is an ever-change process under the multifaceted role nowadays. The government plays a leading role in this process. The government led to the distortion and tension of the relationship among the government, social society and market, when the government intends to strengthen the power to dominate the life of rural society. In order to achieve good governance, the society and market must play their roles fully under the dominance of the government, and the rural society of China should rely on the close integration among the government, society and market to achieve the co-governance of the rural society.
