An Investigation And Reflection On Farmer's Legal Consciousness

Farmers issue is the most basic problem in China's revolution and construction . "If there is no legality in China's rural areas there is no legality in China as a whole." The legal system construction in rural areas is the most important strategy in Chin's legal system construction. The modernization of the farmers' law awareness is the core in the legality realization in rural areas. Without the support of the modern legal awareness adapted to market economy and democracy adapted to the modern legal awareness, it is impossible to achieve the legality in rural areas . Since China's policy of reform and opening up, the legality in rural construction has made great achievements, the legal awareness of the fanners have greatly improved. Overall, however, status quo is still unsatisfactory, the situation of awareness of the law in farmer is not optimistic.There are three chapters in his article to discuss how to improve the Yellow River Delta farmers awareness of the law. In the first chapter, the concept and theory of legal awareness among farmers are elaborated , especially the role of the legal awareness in building a harmonious society is analyzed . In the second chapter, the basic outlook of the fanners' law awareness is drawn up and the causes are analyzed on the basis of the field research in the Yellow River Delta area in the rural, of the inspect of legal awareness of the farmers , of the farmers constitution of the legal awareness of the level of legal knowledge, the current evaluation of the law, the rights and obligations . In the Yellow River Delta fanners awareness of the law, there are still many problems, the overall characteristics of farmers awareness of the legal status is still "indifferent" . In the third chapter, the article analyzes how to improve the fanners' legal awareness ,how to improve the development of legal system in rural area and put forward some proposals for the legal system construction in rural areas of the Yellow River Delta from the following aspects: the development of market economy, the development of rural education, culture, the strengthening legislation and law enforcement , the innovation of the building of village self-government.
