Study On American Professional Military Education

Since the idea of military construction and military training are profoundly influenced by the new military revolution,it is quite necessary for us to have a deep research on the on-post education. We may learn from their active actions for a reference.Nowadays,many countries try hard to improve the qualities of their service members,by means of the further training reform so as to adapt to the need of new military revolution all over the world.American professional military education has a long history.Maturity system and clear fence between academies is the most striking feature of American PME.Study and analyze the model of American PME has a great sense for our changes from focusing on educational background to professional military education.By using document method and comparison method,this thesis do some research in PME.Training commander to make right decision in war or national emergence is the pursuit of PME.PME focuses on military tactics,ability of leadership and comprehension of information;curriculum of PME sticks out practice and has various training methods.As the same time,this thesis gives emphasis on the research of foreign military on-post in its developing model and teaching system reform,analyzing some important military on-post colleges and their reform measures of America in the view of system organization,military academies, teaching materials,training models,education ranges,training methods and teaching groups.At the same time,this thesis discusses on the causes of change about on-post developing mode,concluding and analyzing the important steps in the development of foreign military on-post education academies.The thesis has also contrasted the same and differences between foreign military on-post academies and ours,concludes the good ways conducted by the foreign military colleges in new military revolution.Based on this,this thesis has an analysis on the status and existed problems in our on-post education and puts forward several valuable advices in our on-post education development and reform.
