Modernity is undoubtedly one of the topics focused in our time. Modernity is not only a theoretical problem but also an actual problem. It is thought that Marx has close relation with modernity. Marx combined traditional metaphysics criticism with analysis towards inherent quality of capital, to take on modernity criticism. Marx's rebellion against modernity doesn't mean that he completely denies modernity, and the purpose of destruction is just lying in reconstruction, modernity. In the modernization of china, Marx's rebellion against modernity tells us that: Chinese firstly should express their Chinese concern of modernity, but not to follow western modernity theory. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part reviews the basic problems of modernity, the debate of post-modernism and Western Marxism debate on modernity. The second part illustrates the deep, unique analysis of Marx on modernity. Marx combined traditional metaphysics criticism with analysis to take on realization of communism. The third part illustrates Chinese modernization. China is facing the unprecedented collision and comprehension, which has formed the characteristics of China's modernity: the co-existence of tradition, modernity and post-modernity. The fourth part concludes that we should hold on the position of adhering to the socialist, make efforts to find out a rational layout for Chinese modernity and pursue the harmonious development between human beings and the society.
