On The Construction Of Grass-roots Organization Of The Democratic Parties In Colleges And Universities

The grass-roots organization of democratic parties in colleges and universities refer to the democratic grass-roots committee, general branch committee and branch committee established by various democratic parties in colleges and universities. That have a large number of well-educated party members of good quality As the basic cell of the democratic parties, it's the bridge to link the university members of democratic parties and is fundamental to establish political parties' image. Its construction will have a direct affect on the overall functioning of the democratic parties and participation of party members. So it's of great significance to study the construction issue of democratic parties' grass-roots organizations. By doing so, it can not only unite the people to join hands to promote united front work in colleges, but also ensure teachers of democratic parties to actively offer suggestions and solutions for the central task of colleges and to promote colleges' reform and development.This paper discussed the importance of studying the construction of grass-roots organization of democratic parties in colleges and universities firstly; by making a survey of its current domestic research, the writer identified deficiencies in existing research which was in turn taken as a breakthrough point in this paper. Secondly, the relevant concepts of college democratic parties were expounded to have an overall view of the characteristics as well as the construction contents of democratic parties' grass-roots organizations in colleges and universities. Thirdly, the fundamental laws of the construction of the democratic parties have been summarized and the development history of democratic parties has been reviewed since the founding of China, with a view to seek theoretical as well as practical guidance for the construction of democratic parties' grass-roots organizations in colleges and universities. During the study, the questionnaire is adopted for a thorough survey of the democratic party members in Dalian University of Technology and the good situation as well as main existing problems have been summarized by referring to existing literature. The good situation is mainly embodied as follows: the increasing representative membership of democratic parties, the obvious improvement of members' knowledge level and academic as well as professional level, the diversity of grass-roots organizations' activities and party members' active participation in democratic management and supervision. Meanwhile, members of democratic grass-roots organizations in some colleges do have the following problems to various degrees: weak awareness of political participation, the single form and method of ideological and political work, inadequate executive power of leadership, the lack of cohesion of the organization, the weakening of organizational functions and so on. This paper seeked reasons from social impact, school party, individual members, etc. for these problems. Finally, by combining with and applying to methods of ideological and political education, the writer put forward detailed measures from the training of members, organizational development, system security, etc.
