The sovereign rights and the jurisdiction rights South China Sea and the islands had been belonging to China since ancient times. The ancient rights were changed after the Colonists invasion and the discovery of oil and gas resources. After the cold war, the influence of international actors to South China Sea issue became in evidence flowing the U.S. and Japan changed their policy to China. Today, the Vietnam, the Philippines, the Malaysia, and Brunei not only had been taken most of the islands in South China Sea, and predatory exploited the marine resources.Taiwan's policy to South China Sea originated Republic of China. Although, the policy change a little during 20th century 50s,70s,90s, and pay more attention to the geopolitical security and economic security, but Taiwan never changed it's claim of the sovereign rights to South China Sea.In recent years, the hard-line policies to South China Sea came from the Vietnam and the Philippines have become increasingly. The rights and interests of Taiwan and mainland China were both eroded. The relations between Taiwan and mainland China have been improved since 2008. It is the opportunity for Taiwan and mainland China to face the South China Sea issue together.
