In this paper, the physical training status in the phase of intensive training about the military and political basis for joint-training students from a military academy is investigated and analyzed firstly. Applying several methods such as looking up the references, investigation method, measurement and observation, Delphi method, mathematical statistics and logical analysis, the physical training effects in the phase of academy-enrolling and joining-the-army about the joint students enrolled in the year of 2008 and influencing factors are fully investigated and researched. The dominant reasons are found about the influence of the physical training effects, and the corresponding intervention strategies are proposed.The following opinions are concluded after the analysis:Most of the joint students enrolled in the year of 2008 had not participated in systematically physical exercise before they enlisted in the army. And they had little interest in the sports and felt painful when most of them joined the sports subjectively. The majority were unfamiliar with the basic sports knowledge. The subjective factors of the students have an impact on the effects of the physical training. The physical fitness of the joint-training students enrolling in the year of 2008 was weak. The physical training level improved greatly after the intensive training about the military and political basis. Obviously, the number of the students who lag behind for lack of physical strength is less than the joint-training students enrolling in the year of 2006 and 2007, in the process of field training. But there was still a gap between the corresponding requirements. Some students have a fear of the difficulties and disgusted the training. Furthermore, several individuals had even thought to drop out of school. Most of the students had a positive training motivation, and a considerable number of students had deep realistic needs of motivation. Because of the impulsive participation of the physical training, participants had little joy when training and the overall training process was tedious. Objective factors:the purpose of the training is exam-oriented. As a result the content and means of the training are monotonous. The training injuries of the students, caused by the training venues and other factors, had an impact on their participants of the training. The spare time was not enough to exercise the training. These factors, such as the management capability of the team cadres, crowded training venues and lack of training equipments, played an important role on the effect of physical training. It was thought by the team cadres that the firstly primary reason which caused the poor physical fitness of the students was the quality of the applicants. The training mechanism was the primary factor affecting the results of training. And teaching factors, management factors, and training environments also had a significant impact on the training effects.Several proposed recommendations are as follows:Enhance the controlling of the admission quality, eliminate the students who fail the physical examination according to the realistic situation and strengthen the ideological education of students. In the teaching and training process the interests and self-efficacy of the students must be enhanced by improving the attitude of students towards the training. Make the sports and training more pleasant. More training methods and means must be put in use. The students should have an initiative to join the training actively. In order to improving the teaching quality, the teaching and researching capabilities of teachers must be enhanced by optimizing the curriculum structure of the intensive training in the phase of academy-enrolling and joining-the-army and highlighting the session of training and practice. Strengthen the construction of the hardware and software of the sports resources. Eliminate the contradictions between large numbers of students, crowded training venues and insufficient equipments, and the obvious gap with the times. Establish the evaluation system of the implementation and effectiveness of the scientific and physical training. Monitor the executions of the relevant policies and regulations. Explore the integrated physical training management system of education, training and management. Establish the "people-oriented" concept of physical training. Achieve a scientific and standardized physical training mechanism of the military academies. And improve the effects of physical training.
