With the advancement of new military innovation, military physical training and assessment have shown evidence of some new characteristics. Integrated training cadets, as high‐caliber commanding intellectuals cultivated by military academies, are important repertories for the long‐term development of the army. Therefore, it is significant to study the potential problems and regularities of military physical training and assessment for integrated training cadets, since the result will help improve the efficacy of military physical training and perfect the mechanism of military training assessment. Based on the research findings in the field of military physical training and assessment, this study gives a detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis of the problems that exist in present military physical training and assessment of integrated training cadets. Aiming at providing valuable suggestions and policies for further improvement, the study addresses the following points:(1)By defining relevant concepts and clarifying basic requirements and methods, the present study analyzes the basic characteristics, current status and existing problems of military physical training and assessment of integrated training cadets in Chinese military academies.(2)Based on the records collected from several Chinese military academies, the study gives a statistical analysis of the different influential factors of military physical training and assessment for integrated training cadets, provides suggestions for improving physical training from the perspectives of ideological understanding, integrated training methods and policy perfection, and proposes countermeasures for perfecting physical assessment in terms of theory innovation, creation mechanism and organization strengthening.(3)By analyzing the status and problems of military physical training and assessment of one student‐company, the present study proposes some empirical measures for strengthening guidance of education, improving training methods and perfecting training skills. The fact that the student‐company had a satisfying achievement in the joint examination organized by the Headquarters of the General Stuff proves the significance of the findings of the present study.
