Chinese Local Government Credibility Problems Study

The government credibility is refers to the government in the exercise of state power, the implementation process of public administration to adhere to the principle of good faith, and thus standardizes and restrains their own behavior. This is an important symbol of the law government in the modern democracy society, and plays an important role of the demonstration effect and promotes in constructing the social credit system. As local administrative organs of local government, its credibility is also the important part of the government credit. For promoting the credit construction of the local government administrative regions, thus promoting the formation of the whole social credit system has extremely important effects.However, the Chinese government, especially local governments in lack of credibility should not be ignored the deep-seated problems, which relates to the government's political legitimacy, affects social management and the normal social order. This paper illustrates the connotation of local government credibility and important meaning of local government credit, and analyzes the main behaviors of the lack of government credibility from the two levels of the policy and administrative behaviors, obtains the main reasons are why the government is inaccurate when the government with the private competes in self-interesting cited and local government function orientation, relates to the local government performance evaluation system unscientific, system unsound as well as traditional cultural factors, and put forward a main path in strengthening the construction of local government credibility is to improve and perfect the legal credit system, provide institutional support for the local government credit, improve the local government decision-making system, and form the scientific, democratic and regulating public policy formulation mechanism, establish and perfect the science of local government performance evaluation mechanism, guide to establish the correct performance views of local government, perfect the supervision system, promote and prefect the system of credibility and supervision, and construction of the government credit culture. I hope it can play a role in promoting the local government credibility through this paper.
