In recent years, with the psychological treatment for criminals to work gradually extended with the universal, as in high strength, high load, high~risk occupational prison police's work stress and mental health has also aroused concern by the society.Based on the survey of the Jilin prison police's work stressors and mental health status, compared with the national norm, we analyze the Jilin prison police's mental health status, and explore the Jilin prison police's work stressors. We analyze the regional economic development level's effect on Jilin prison police's work stressors and mental health status, and we also explore the gender, age, length of service, job, education and other demographic variables'effects on Jilin prison police's work stressors and mental health status. Through the questionnaire statistics, we try hard to give a detailed and objective description of the Jilin prison police's work stressors and mental health status, to provide realistic basis for the following specific measures to solve the problem.This article generally divided into two parts, the first part is the literature review, in which include the concept of work stress and work stressors, and the concept of mental health, as well as the research at home and abroad on the psychological pressure of the prison police. In the second part, it is include the research design and statistical analysis. The subjects of this study are 322 prison police who were chosen from the prison of Changchun City, and a prison in Zhenlai area. The tools of the research are Prison Police's Work Stressor Questionnaire and the Symptom Checklist90. And we use the SPSS for windows17.0 statistical software for data processing. Descriptive Statistics, independent Samples T Test, One~Way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis were used for statistical analysis. The conclusion lists as follows:1.Jilin prison police work pressure levels were significantly higher than the national average.2.Jilin prison police work pressure comes mainly from a series of single factor: low wages and poor benefits, leisure life is monotonous, work risks, long~running tensions, remote work locations, job boring etc.3.Jilin prison police's work pressure is impacted by the regional differences of the relative developed level. The working pressure level of the police officers from more developed area is lower than the working pressure level of the police officers from less developed area.4.Jilin prison police's work pressure affects by gender, job, education and other demographic variables. The work pressure in males was significantly higher than females, the work pressure of grass~roots are significantly higher than the work pressure of police officers in various departments, College graduate educational background police officers'work pressure are higher than the Bachelor degree educational background police officers'work pressure. In addition, age and length of service have no effect on the Jilin prison police's work pressure.5. Quite a few of the Jilin prison police's mental health is not very good.6.Jilin prison police's mental health is impacted by the regional differences of the relative developed level. The mental health level of the police officers from more developed area is lower than the mental health level of the police officers from less developed area.7.Jilin prison police's mental health affects by gender, job, education and other demographic variables.8.Jilin prison police mental health affects by the length of service, and age is also an important factor which effects the mental health of prison police in Jilin Province.9.Jilin prison police's subjective sense of physical discomfort is severe, forcing symptoms is obvious, sleep and diet is not ideal.10.Prison police officers'working pressure greatly affects their mental health and affects all aspects of their mental health.
